There are those moments that just immediately come to mind when you think of the St. Louis Cardinals.  Perhaps it’s Ozzie’s home run or his signature backflip.  Bob Gibson glaring from the mound and striking out a World Series record.  David Freese’s home run in this past postseason.

One of the staples of the United Cardinal Bloggers is our roundtable project.  Twice a year, in February and October, we have a routine.  A blogger will send out a question to the group, everyone will respond to it (and to the other responses) and the next day, the blogger posts the transcript of the discussion up at his/her blog.

The Year In Cardinal Baseball

As is the custom of the United Cardinal Bloggers, after the season is over, we engage in an electronic roundtable.  Going by the schedule, one blogger e-mails out a question to the participants, which triggers a day of discussions and responses.  The next day, that blogger posts the transcript of our talks on their blog, while the next blogger in line starts the project all over again.

This past Thursday, September 16th, the Cardinals held their first ever Social Media Night.  While there was some initial pushback from the fan base over the setup of the event, most of the UCB were excited to know that the Cards were starting to recognize that there is more than just the paper these days.  Plus, it gave some the opportunity to actually meet each other face-to-face rather than over the internet and phone lines for the UCB Radio Hour.
