July Project: Our Selections For The Cardinal Hall of Fame

by Cardinal70 on July 25, 2013

With Ballpark Village finally taking shape, the focus starts to turn from the actual buildings being constructed to what will be inside those edifices.  The Cardinal Hall of Fame promises to be one of the major focuses of BPV and, as such, last month the United Cardinal Bloggers gave their opinions on what should go inside.  This month, the UCB states who should be honored inside the HOF.

Each member of the UCB was asked to select five people in Cardinal history to be inducted in the first class of the Hall of Fame.  It was stipulated that all people retired on the wall in St. Louis (players and otherwise) were already counted as a member as well as anyone that played most of their career with the Cards and is in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.  There is no waiting period on this–any player that is retired (or has the expectation that he is retired) was eligible.

Below are the links to the ballots.  Please continue to come back and see new ones added, as well as follow the spreadsheet below.  Anyone that is named on 75% of the ballots will be included.  If no one is named on that many ballots, the top vote getter(s) will be selected.
